Micronet M363A mini-GBIC modules are small form pluggable (SFP) transceivers with duplex LC connector. Compliant with IEEE 1000BASE-SX standards, they offer increased flexibility for Gigabit Ethernet fiber connections. Supporting full duplex 1000M speed on multi/single-mode fiber for distances of up to 550M/ 2KM, they are the perfect complement to Micronet switches, like SP6526 and SP6524PWS.

Why do we need the fiber optic ?
Here is the list of considerations for using fiber optic instead of conventional transmission medium. 1.It is the best for long distance transmission because of its very small transition lose in a long distance connection without signal regeneration. 2.It immense to EMI ( electromagnetic interference ) and radio frequency interferences, it has no NEXT ( near ends cross talk ) problem, and it is thundering prevention. 3.It could carry much more information on its high bandwidth medium at high speed. 4.It provides high security connection for both data and voice communication. 5.It is in compact size and light weight for cabling, and it needs no upgrade on network cabling even the network speed is upgraded to Giga Hertz. Adopt this technology and get out of network cabling and maintenance troublesome easily. What do you think about your current network ?
